Shimpei Sakurada
Warriors FC (Singapore)
2011 Albirex Niigata FC (Singapore)
I played for Albirex Niigata FC (Singapore) in the 2011 season.
I am playing for Warriors FC in S.League now. I took the first step as an overseas professional football player in Albirex.
Playing football in a foreign country gives me a lot of opportunities that I cannot experience in Japan.
I feel those opportunities have contributed to my growth.
I also think that my mission is, by taking an active role in a foreign country, to enhance the value of football and Japanese players in that region.
I am 28 years old now and I might be late for playing overseas, but I will keep playing good football and want to show the potential of Japanese players to all over the world. -

Kenji Adachihara
Persiba Balikpapan (Indonesia)
2009 Albirex Niigata FC (Singapore)
I played for Albirex Niigata FC (Singapore) in the 2009 season.
Looking back on that season, the majority of the players seemed to be ambitious and I was one of them.
Our strong personality sometimes made it difficult to play as a team, but it was expressing our strong passion for football.
We worked hard together and I transfered to another team earlier than the other players.
I have been playing in Indonesia for 3 seasons and I am working as hard as I was in Albirex to make more progress.
The players and the staff I worked with in those days are taking in an active part in each field.
Everyone is strong in the Singapore heat and eager to create their own future in Albirex.
I appreciate that I have played for this club. -

Playing for Albirex made me what I am. I could experience not only playing football but also living in a foreign country. I could also learn the importance of understanding different cultures and adapting myself to them.

Naoya Shibamura
FK Buxoro (Uzbekistan)
2005 – 2006 Albirex Niigata FC (Singapore)
I took the first step as a professional football player in Albirex Niigata FC (Singapore) and gained very valuable experiences. Playing in Albirex relieved reluctance and anxiety for playing in foreign countries and I can play overseas by myself now. I hope from now on many Japanese players can have a chance to show their potential to the world. I will also work as hard as other players.

Arata Izumi
Pune FC (India)
2005 Albirex Niigata FC (Singapore)
I played for Albirex Niigata FC (Singapore) in the 2005 season. I was contracted as a trainee, so I had some difficulties. But I could overcome all the difficulties because playing football as a professional was fascinating to me.
For young players who want to be a professional, sometimes things don’t go smoothly in spite of their great efforts. I believe Albirex can give them dreams, hopes and motivations. It is because many players in this team, including myself are given a chance to play overseas.
I hope Albirex will always gather attention as a representative club of Japan and more players take an active role in foreign countries to spread Japanese football.
