Albirex lost their 5th game in a row tonight in a Jurong East Derby against Tanjong Pagar Utd.
Striker Shingo Nakano earned the White Swans the lead at the 16th minute when he headed in Yohei Otake's left footed cross.
Immediately after the 2nd half kick off, Nakano was through on goal and was brought down by the Jaguar's centre back Syed Akmal.
Referee initially gave a free kick to Tanjong Pagar but upon VAR review, sent off Syed Akmal.
However, for the second time this season, Albirex lost to a 10-men team from a winning position.
Goals were conceded in the 73rd minute and 83rd minute for Tanjong Pagar to turn around the match.
It was inexplicable that the team do not know how to hold on to a lead against 10-men team, and duly deserved to lose the match.
The White Swans will host Balestier Khalsa next Thursday, 18 Jul, at Jurong East Stadium. Kickoff is 7.45pm.
