Champions, Albirex Niigata, beat Hougang Utd 5 nil this evening at Jurong East Stadium. Although the result was inconsequential to both team's position in the league, the White Swans nonetheless put on a 5-star performance to entertain the capacity crowd who attended the match to witness the trophy presentation after the final whistle.
Attacking midfielder Seia Kunori drew first blood in the 12th minute when he stole in unmarked at the left far post to guide a deep Asahi Yokokawa's cross into the net.

At the 44th minute, 19 year old Singaporean Junki Yoshimura scored his first professional goal when he converted a left wing cross by Shuto Komaki. The White Swans went into half time with a 3 nil lead.
4 minutes after the restart, Tadanari Lee made it 4 nil. Kaisei Ogawa's free kick reached an unmarked Lee who headed the ball into the net. Lee had announced his retirement from professional football by the end of the season 2 days ago. The whole team joined his trademark arrow celebration for the goal.
In the 68th minute, Lee scored his second goal for the night when he poked in Kunori cross from the left wing. 5 nil to the White Swans.
Another stalwart, goalkeeper Hyrulnizam Juma'at, who has also announced his retirement at the end of the season, came on at the 86th minute to replace Hassan Sunny to thunderous applause.
The White Swans kept the defence tight and saw through the end of the game at 5 nil.
The league campaign has came to an end but the season is not done yet. The White Swans will start their Singapore Cup campaign next Sunday, 24 Sep against DPMM Brunei FC at Jalan Besar Stadium. Kickoff is 6pm.
