The White Swans record back-to-back wins after thumping Balestier Khalsa 6-1 at Bishan Stadium on a humid night.
The home side had the first real chance to take the lead in the 9th minute. Daniel Goh latched onto a pass from Ryoya Taniguchi and fired towards goal, only to be denied by a wonderful save from the Albirex custodian Hassan Sunny.

While both sides enjoyed decent possession, Albirex was next to come close to a goal. In the 16th minute, Seia Kunori found Tadanari Lee out wide. The latter squared a ball to Riku Fukashiro, but his first-time effort on goal was straight into the arms of Hairul Syirhan.
Just two minutes later, Albirex finally took the lead by 1-0. Against the run of play, Koki Kawachi saw the run of Riku down the left wing. With a peach of a pass, Riku laid it off calmly for Seia to slot it right into the bottom corner.
The White Swans continued their swift attack in the 29th minute. Seia passed an exquisite through ball to left-back Sho Fuwa who had acres of space. Sho sent a cross in which eventually reached Lee, and Lee headed it back for Riku to pounce into the back of the net. This gave Albirex a 2-0 lead.

Once again, in the 33rd minute, Albirex punished the Tigers with a 3-0 lead by exploiting Balestier’s right-hand side. Riku received a ball from Koki, and with some individual brilliance, he curled the ball into the top-right corner from the edge of the box, leaving Hairul no chance to keep that out.
Albirex registered their dominance in attack as they extended their lead to 4-0 just before half-time. This time, Lee switched a long ball to incoming Sho on the left. Sho delivered a beautiful pass into a standing Seia who readily directed into goal from just outside the six-yard box.
With three changes made at half-time, Albirex nearly got ahead in the 53rd minute as substitute Shuto Komaki’s effort flashed just wide.
While Balestier did have a better second half, it was the White Swans that scored the fifth goal. A mistake by former Albirex winger Masahiro Sugita in the 77th minute gave Seia the perfect opportunity to finish it off for his hat-trick.
【#10 Seia Kunori】
Balestier’s efforts did get rewarded on 86 minutes as the two substitutes Iqram Rifqi and Ignatius Ang combined to pull a goal back. Iqram beat the offside trap and passed it to Ignatius. Ignatius danced around in the penalty box before launching into goal.
Albirex ended the night on a high as they scored their sixth goal. Hat-trick hero Seia turned provider as Keito Komatsu put it past the goalkeeper.

The White Swans are now second on the table with 15 points just a point shy of Tampines Rovers. Albirex will hope to extend their perfect away record when they face Tanjong Pagar United next at Jurong East Stadium for the western derby on 10th April, Monday at 8.30pm.
