【Photo Report】"Salonpas Day" Special Soccer Clinic on 18th May
On 18th May which is our conditioning partner Salonpas Day, we held a soccer clinic for people with intellectual disabilities collaborated with Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical and Special Olympics Singapore.
The main aim of the clinic was to help maintain and improve physical fitness through familiarisation with sport, to promote independence and social participation, and to promote understanding of people with disabilities in Singapore.
Firstly, we would like to thank Mr Sato Katsuhiro, Singapore Branch Manager of Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical and Mr Vicknesh Naidu, Special Olympics Singapore Head of Delegation, for their efforts in making this wonderful collaboration possible.
We would also like to thank Mr Matsushita Koji from the Embassy of Japan in Singapore for coming to this clinic and their understanding of the significance of the event.
After which, we will share some photos from the clinic.
The clinic is conducted by Habil Hakim, Director of the Albirex Singapore Football Academy.
The warm-up was based on the concept of spending as much time as possible with the ball, which is an important part of Albirex Niigata FC Singapore.
n no time at all, Habil fit into the circle of children and proceeded to practise ball touches while communicating a lot.
He then gave advice to the children in easy-to-understand situation settings, such as corner kicks and free kicks.
The children listened intently to Habil's words. And, they were chasing the ball, trying to make use of what they had learnt.
The clinic ended with a 7v7 and PK simulation. We were more than happy to see the children's happy faces.
We would like to continue to work willingly to bring joy to the people of Singapore through sport.
