【Match Report】Late Lee's Header Gives White Swans Victory - 2022 SPL MD9
Star Striker Lee Tadanari scored a late header in the 85th minute to give the White Swans a valuable 3 points in a match which seemingly heading towards a draw.

The White Swans dominated the match but the uneven grass surface obviously affected their passing game.

Creative midfielder Kan Kobayashi finished off a flowing move in the 32nd minute to give the White Swans a 1 nil lead into half time.

However, ex-Albirex striker, Shuhei "Jumbo" Hoshino equalised for Balestier when he heads a free kick past a hesitant Koga in the 50th minute.
Albirex went on the offensive in search of the winner but Balestier's defence held firm.

The match seemed to finish in a draw but Lee obviously had other ideas as he popped up unmarked in the far post from a corner to head in the winner for a delirious away crowd late in the game.

The win brought Albirex up to second place in the league table with 16 points from 4 wins, 4 draws and 1 loss.
There will be no game next weekend and the White Swans will host Geylang International on 27 May (Friday) at Jurong East Stadium. There will be no capacity restriction and the match will kick off at 7.45pm.
