【Photo Report】Yuhua Prosperity Rice Distribution for Seniors 2022
On Saturday 15th January, we participated in a charity event "Yuhua Prosperity Rice Distribution for Seniors 2022".
This event is to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year with residents of Yuhua, as we helped to distribute rice and fruits to the elderly.
At the event, Ms. Grace Fu (the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment) came to Yuhua Community Centre and gave us a greeting with encouragement for coming 2022 season.
After that, we divided into some groups and handed out gift packs containing rice and fruits at the front door of each household.
The players seem to feel the significance of participating in this event. Hilman said, "I think it is very important to support each other and build good relationships with the community.", while Fikri said "It's great to be able to work for the community, not just football."
In addition, 18-year-old Hariya also participated in such a community event for the first time. It was a refreshing experience for him. Recalling the moment, he said that "It was fun and meaningful at the same time.”
It was a great time for all of us including the players who have just arrived from Japan and for the local people to feel the connection.
We will continue to prepare for the start of the season as we keep in mind the importance of serving the community of Yuhua.
