SPL 21st Leg vs Geylang International FC "Albirex beat Nine-Men Geylang 4 Nil"
It was Albirex first clean sheet in 5 matches as Geylang made the White Swan's job easier with 2 red cards, 1 in each half, for late tackle and dissent respectively.
Centreback Shun Kumagai opened the scoring as early as the 7th minute. However, Geylang tightened up at the back after Azhar Sairudin was sent off in the the 32nd minute for a second yellow card.
The White Swans finally made the breakthrough in the 65th minute when Taku Morinaga penetrated the Eagle's defence and fired an unstoppable shot in the top left corner.
Another goal followed quickly at the 69th minute after Hiroyoshi Kamata tapped in the ball from a sweet left wing cross by Kenya Takahashi.
Albirex went in search for for more goals but top scorer Jumbo fluffed his lines when he shot his penalty wide in the 82nd minute.
The 4th goal finally came in injury time as Sasahara headed the ball towards the goal from a corner. Geylang defender, Darren Teh, tried to clear it but could only head into his own goal.
