In a see-saw game, Albirex took the lead 3 times and Tampines, determined not to lose its winning run in Tampines Hub and to break its losing run against the White Swans, fought back 3 times. It is only through the 4th time of asking at the 90th minute by midfielder Daiki Asaoka, that Tampines ran out of time to find the 4th equalizer.

The 7 goal thriller would be viewed as a good advertisement for the Singapore Premier League as the top 2 teams in the league went toe-to-toe without giving each other an inch.

In the 8th minute, left winger Yamanaka, who would torment the Stags backline for the whole night, found space in the box and lashed a shot into the goal to give the White Swans an early lead.

But the goal seemed to have woken up the Stags and they started to threaten the White Swans. Fazrul Nawaz rocked the crossbar and minutes later, he was on hand to stab home the rebound after good work by Yasir Hanapi and Jordan Webb to carve open the Albirex defence.
